MySpace Instant Messenger - MySpace IM

Using MySpace, but it is still not enough? Try to use MySpace instant messenger - it is great software for all MySpace users to chat with MySpace friends and receive different MySpace alerts.
MySpaceIM is really cool and offers functionality that is good add-on for every social network. It is also great benefit for the network users, because it helps not only to build closer relationships between your friends, but also be well informed about latest events in personal profile and in the network itself.
Speaking about functionality of MySpaceIM - it have all the features what have others instant messengers together with MySpace integration - one-click access to MySpace profile, inbox, blog etc. Interface is very intuitive and, I think, there should be no problems to start using it.
There is many personalization options like changing IM profile picture, different IM skins etc. I don’t remember where I read that despite it is MySpace product it looks nice and is well designed. And, actually, it’s true - the MySpaceIM skins that comes together with default installation is really cool. You can see some below.
There is also some imperfections, maybe the biggest is lack of MySpace Instant Messenger for Mac, which is a reason of some swearwords coming from Mac users. And actually I haven’t heard that MyspaceIM for mac is on developing process, looks like developers doesn’t like Mac’s too much, but maybe it is time to switch to Windows? Heard about new Vista? :)

April 29th, 2007 at 3:37 pmUmmm… Ok no. Vista is gay. I used it and didn’t like it. It crashed just trying to tell me the system info. That is pretty bad… Why would an OS need 1GB of RAM? Mac OS X can run using less than half a gig. I do it on a G4. And my iMac 24-inch that I have now, kicks ass. Faster than any PC I ever used. I have 3 GB of RAM and a 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Faster than my brothers Quad-Core PC with 4GB of RAM running XP. Have a great day….

Just bought a mac book and will never own anything else again, OS X is so much better than windows (especially VISTA). Take my advise, develope a myspaceIM for mac. The have to spend five years making a new OS that doesn’t deliver what they promised. Sure, maybe things will be better after the service pack, but I am not going to let my hopes go to high. I had to re-configure it to stop asking me stupid questions all the time. I am not kidding, it asked me FOUR times… all with a different kind of message, but each one asked “accept or deny”. Plus, alot of people have issues with some online gaming. You have to reconfigure it to accept update patches from certain games. And there is much more, but I cannot think at the top of my head. None the less, it should not be that difficult to do what you want to do. I guess the only perk is that I have not gotten a single virus, but I am still not 100% sure because Vista dosn’t like my Symantic Anti-Virus software, which apparently isn’t compatable. I am a paying customer of this product, and I cannot use it… that is a shame. Anyways. I just felt like ranting about it. Mac Rules, I wish I had one now.

Ubuntu gave me problems, FreeSpire SUCKED, but Fedora is Kicking.
Have no problems with viruses and it has a built in firewall.

Also, everything on MySpace looks different on Safari. Some of the links are in different places, the borders on your home page are kinda screwed up, and if you use transparency on your profile, it’s too transparent to read clearly.

June 19th, 2008 at 1:18 amLook into Pidgin, it’s got a build for linux and it supports the MyspaceIM protocol. I’m not sure if it’s supported by mac though. I agree that vista’s not all that great. Mac is pretty good, but it’s nothing more than an expensive, pretty face stuck on top of a linux base. My $250.00 linux box can do anything a mac can do, and then some.

July 23rd, 2008 at 12:54 amLike who ever thought that i would trade my highly dependable MAC OSX for an windows product that would not even last a year brand new…If someone in the networking business would actually use the little brains would think that over hlf the worlds computers are MAC users there may be more window sellers cause the like buying computers every year. Buy a MAC and you will never go back…I can use everything on here just like windows and more

August 22nd, 2008 at 5:29 amalthough I used HP computers and windows software for the majority of my life… I began on apple macintosh computers in my kindergarden computer lab… yes that was approx. 15 years ago… and I should have stuck with APPLE!!!!!! My first year in college my HP laptop, though it survived 3 years of highschool, completly crashed… because XP failed me… THEN i was forced to buy another Best Buy product [which does NOT includ Mac] with the extended warranty… unfortunately this laptop was equipped with VISTA… no more than three weeks later upon the eve of Final Exams… my laptop self destructed.. i lost all my photos, papers, documents… it was a complete MESS. None the less, I marched my happy ass to the Mac store and purchased my first macbook pro & it has been with me ever since… thank god for simplification… AND to the guy who posted above me… mac has been outselling PC have you not seen the commercials on tv? hilarious because its all true!
