Advertisements
Online games today are very popular and also I few years later was deep into football manager game called Hattrick. Now there are almost one million registered users who are playing this game and are competing against other people.
So, what really means online football manager? It is game where you have a football team and you need to coach players, develop play strategies, keep eye on football club finances and do other things to help your team play better. Actually you do all the same functions what does real football team manager. The games is between real people trained teams and in the games between users you can see which user have better manager skills. I have try it and I must say it is really interesting to play online football manager game. I remember, that playing Hattrick, community of this project was very strong and many of players have become friends in life too. I decided to search for other similar online football manager games online.
Hattick
Most popular online football manager game with one million registered users and teams almost in every country in the world. This game have really good gameplay and strong community of players. Hattrick also have ability to choose wide range of languages to offer players better understanding of the game.

Managerzone Football
Also one of most popular online football managers with excellent design and features. Users have all possibilities to become really professional managers playing this game at managerzone.com. If you vant to see what they are offering you can visit this page and see screenshots of this online football manager game.

Itsagoal.com
This one looks really serious and professional built manager which is very close to managers you can play on your PC. Actually I haven’t played this manager game, but looking to screenshots I think it is worth to try it out.

Football League
This manager is interesting because it gives real cash prizes to winners - maybe it is your chance?

Soccer Manager
This football manager is simple designed but very rich in features. As it is called Soccer Manager I think it is dedicated to US users, but of course I think they are open also for people outside US. Looking at the screenshots this manager I think have great potential to become very popular.

December 3rd, 2007 at 1:02 amYou are all wrong guys. http://www.itnsoccer.com is the best game on the net. We have a great community spirit which you won’t find anywhere else. There are only about 250 teams but most managers are dedicated and have been there for 7 years. It’s currently subject to a takeover which will make it a “bigger” game but still keeping the tight community.

February 7th, 2008 at 4:24 pmhttp://www.itsagoal.com it the best manager game there is. The finance side is in depth along with training and also the tactics etc. Its free and very easy to navigate. There is also an option to subscribe for £10 per YEAR, very cheap indeed, this gives you further options to customize your club to your own liking. The games forums are very friendly and inviting.
This game is 10/10 try it and you will be hooked in no time with the possibility of becoming IAG’s no.1 manager

February 12th, 2008 at 1:13 pmFootball managers ranked by number of registered players (12.02.2008):
Hattrick (hattrick.org): 948 468
Online Football Manager (onlinefootballmanager.co.uk): 907 863
Goalunited (goalunited.org): 667 918
Soccer Manager (soccer.managergames.com): 654 794
Managerzone(managerzone.com): 649 176
Trophymanager (trophymanager.com): 85 139
Sokker Manager (sokker.org): 57 834
Freekick (freekick.org): 32 201
Manager League (managerleague.com): 25 812
Planetarium Manager (pmanager.org): 14 278
Dugout-Online (dugout-online.com): 12 022
Itsagoal (itsagoal.com): 3,093
ManagerGlory (managerglory.com): 2 567
Perfect Line-Up (perfect-lineup.com): 1 108
Given that some games are very old and have developed a strong fan base over the years (e.g. Hattrick) or are well promoted through mass media (e.g. Managerzone on Spanish TV, Soccer Manager on German TV etc.), the numbers are somewhat distorted and do not indicate a game’s true potential.

February 27th, 2008 at 11:01 pmNice list…
But you left out a few big ones:
SoccerProject (www.soccerproject.com) has about 40.000
XpertEleven (www.xperteleven.com) claims about 300.000, although I’m not sure how real that number is.

May 23rd, 2008 at 11:38 amITN Soccer is by far and away the best and most realistic football manager game out there. I have played all the games mentioned and nothing comes close to ITN. I advise anyone to try it!!

June 14th, 2008 at 9:25 amYou should check out Football Glory on http://www.footballglory.com/index.php. I’m playing this game for years. It’s a small game in terms of people playing it. But that is part of the beauty. You get to know the community, which helps you doing deals. The game is a long term game. As a result, people use different transfer policies. Some focus on youngsters, others keep buying the top-notch players all the time.
This game is not about fancy pictures, it’s about the real management including youth academy. If you are a hardcore football manager, you would want to play this game. I got tired of the childish management games that only have a fancy lay-out, but this game is entirely different. And free, with no disadvantage of not being a paying manager. Check it out: Football Glory.

July 29th, 2008 at 8:44 pmI’m currently playing http://www.Itsagoal.com/
I believe this to be the most superior online football manager game, and highly recommend it.
I’ve played Freekick for a long time, maybe 2 or 3 years but it became pretty boring in my opinion. I was pretty successful as well, I won the English Premier Division in season 2. You were also at a disadvantage if not subscribing which I disliked, and Senior matches are only played once a week which means seasons are long and matches infrequent.
I played Hattrick briefly, I found it really hard to get into. I started with a terrible team and couldn’t see any light at the end of the tunnel. I can’t remember, but do players pay to get a advantage over free players?
In Itsagoal:
The training, tactics and finances require skill which keeps you interested. There are matches almost every day, I definitely find it much easier to get out of bed in the morning when I’m eager to find out if I’ve won that morning. The league structure is such that every league has 10 divisions with a straight forward 3-up/3-down promotion/relegation system, as opposed to a number of sites that use a pyramid system, which means there’s a realistic and transparent path to the top.
The site prides itself on the fact that no advantage is given to a subscriber over a free player, ie. it’s not one of those sites where the winners can buy their success. The site also prides itself on it’s realistic number of users, specifically stating that that is the number of “active” users, ie. the number of users who login regularly unlike sites that state their “total number” of users which portray an artificially large user base.

September 5th, 2008 at 11:47 amI think the new kid in town, Virtual Manager, also deserve to be mentioned here!
It has around 70.000 active users in Denmark alone, thus making it the far most popular manager game in Denmark.
It has recently been translated to English and Swedish.
