Kinset Takes Online Shopping to a New Dimension
Advertisements
Shopping on the Internet goes 3-D with the help of Kinset, a company who is on a mission to let you stroll down a store’s aisles from the comfort of home.
It’s a great concept with one small catch; in order to shop, it is necessary to download a browser add on. While this will surely hinder some from window shopping, hardcore shopoholics who commit the download will be rewarded with an enriched experience. When “walking” up and down aisles shoppers can mouse over products to reveal more information, such as price, description and reviews.
Sounds a little superfluous, eh? Well, according to the founders of Kinset, they truly believe it’s a better way to shop - with potential purchasers navigating turf they are already familiar with. Plus, if folks actually decide to leave the computer behind, they will already have an idea of what to find and where when they visit the physical store.
Short of bumping your cart into that elderly woman in front of you, the Kinset experience is realistic and unique. Customers can even chat with store clerks and shop with friends.
If you’re a retailer, Boston-based Kinset is looking to ink more deals. One of their selling points is that the technology also allows retailers to easily and quickly maintenance their shops.
The company is in the process of rolling out an immersive online store for gadget-retailer Brookstone.
Now if only I could sit in that massaging chair just a little longer.

January 7th, 2008 at 8:26 amHi everybody,
Can somebody suggest me a better online shopping website where I can purchase an Apple 160GB iPod at reasonable price. However, I searched the web and find the resources i.e.
http://www.topestore.com
http://www.latest-beauty-tips.com
http://www.safeshoppe.com
where the prices are compartively low.
Please suggest if you have some other better resources.
