Basecamp structure is not perfect, so why copy it? Tools like Wrike http://www.wrike.com have more useful features and are integrated with your inbox. No need to be logged on to the tool's site all the time, cause it's so easy to create and edit tasks by writing regular emails. I personally don’t like Basecamp clones.
