Archive Items You Copy and Paste

Even the most novice computer user is familiar with the beautiful keyboard shortcut, Crtl + C, enabling you to copy text, images, videos, URLs and other items.
Personally, I use the shortcut all day long. As I see things I am interested in reading, I will paste the text into Notepad. Later in the day I usually print everything I have gathered and read it all at once. There are several problems with this method:
- If Notepad closes due to a computer crash, all of my data is lost.
- I sometimes forget where I grabbed a clip from in case I want to return to the Website.
- Notepad only gives me one undo in case I make a typing error.
ControlC seems like it could make my life a lot easier, instantly. A tiny download will automatically send items that I “Crtl & C” - within any application - to the Control C server - as well as my local clipboard.
When text is sent it is encrypted using your password as the key. You can then retrieve the information you have copied at any time. Like other social clipping sites, you may make the data you clipped public for sharing and connect with “like-minded” people.
The open source site is brand new and the download functions for both Windows and Macs. The service is free, however, a paid upgrade ($20 a year) is necessary to access older data.
