Organize a Conference Call with your Facebook Buddies for Free
Advertisment
A couple of days ago, Andrew wrote about conference call facility Rondee which is a very good facility suited for folks living within and outside of the 619 area code in the U.S. For folks outside of the U.S., Iotum FREE conference calls give a good alternative. Aside from letting users do conference calls for free, it allows them to do it in their Facebook accounts.
Iotum works like your any other Facebook third party applications. All you have to do to start using it is to install the FREE Conference Call app in your Facebook account. Once you have installed it, you can start making conference call by either:
- Direct dialing from your home, office or mobile phone if you are leaving in the United States, Canada and France. You will be connected directly to the conference servers.
- Calling your friends (who may or may not be on Facebook) through VoIP technology.
- Entering a phone number that will receive your call into the FREE Conference Calls application on Facebook. Once you entered a phone number, your friends can easily call you back from the FREE Conference Calls app.
When doing a conference call through the Facebook interface, every conference call is categorized as a Facebook event with invites, attendees, calendar entry, reminders, and SMS. You can also assign moderators who can mute or unmute the calls. Conference call host can also queue participants who want to speak to regulate the conference call proceedings.
Now, I would have to agree with Andrew that perhaps we should organize a conference call with loyal readers of Rotorblog. We now have two options, use Rondee or FREE Conference Calls via Facebook.
