This question is being asked from the beginning of the social networking – we have a tons of users which are socially active and communicating a lot. Then we have banners – as much as possible and as big as possible. Does it is the most effective way how to make people talk about (buy) your product? I was reading the post at marketing.fm wrote by Eric – he is thinking about true value behind social networking profiles and I once again released how many possibilities are there.

For years people have been selling profiles, and message blasts on myspace and other social networks so this is nothing new. But my thoughts are more about a trusted source profile.

Technically your social graph is composed of your connections, friends, acquaintances, and contacts. What happens when one of your trusted contacts sends out a spam blast? This could be the result of a mismatch message not designed for you, or it could be the result of a paid placement.

But one more aspect to consider is – how different business models will affect social networking and are users ready. No doubt that MySpace isn’t doing well anymore because we have new star in the sky which maybe was reaction of tired users. How do you think does business ruined MySpace?
