Social networking with a Big Brother twist at Tengaged
I must admit I didn’t see this coming. It didn’t see a new social network to ride on the popularity of the Big Brother show worldwide. But before you go on thinking that I’m writing about one of ‘em new social network, I’m not, and Big Brother is certainly not a social network per se, but more appropriately, it is multi-player online game - with a Big Brother twist. From the words of the Tengaged founder:
Tengaged is an Online Multiplayer game, where you have to discover and communicate with other participants in order to win while following some special “rules”. One by one, the ten participants will vote each other out of the game until at the end of seven days, the last remaining participant will win the game.

To join Tengaged, all you need to is to enroll as a participant. Wait for nine other more members to register, and the game starts. The game would run for seven days and as a participant you have to interact with other participants and get to know each one of them like you would normally do in an online social network.
The game gets exciting as an automatic algorithm picks a member who will be up for nominations. The algorithm process selects nominees based on their negative and positive votes, number of messages sent, the way members rate other members’ messages. Each day, one member will be evicted as voted by the members of the game themselves. This will go on for seven days, until only one is left.
Sounds fun eh? Actually yes it does. You may not have the feeling of getting watched by Big Brother but the idea and feeling of getting nominated for eviction and getting evicted ala big brother in an online environment do sound pretty fun and cool as well.
