I would like to recommend another family site http://www.generationsunite.com , though it is a family social site, it's emphasis is on families working together in the care of a loved one. Not only ways for families to communicate but also tools to help provide the best care for loved ones that need help.

I just got my newsletter from FamilyCrossings.com. I was excited to read that their family website / social network product now provides Video uploads (ala Youtube). I uploaded videos from my HD Flip camera and it worked!. It only took 3 clicks. Also I read that their product now will send an automated newsletter to all the family members every week. I really like this idea because it builds interest in what is posted in your family website.
