Get Answers to your Questions through Guesstimate
The first thing that comes into my mind when I read about MyGuesstimate is Yahoo! Answers. Both service allows you to post question and eventually get answers from community members. I used Yahoo Answers from time to time, especially for questions that Google Search can’t seem to answer correctly. Enter MyGuesstimate, a new online service that gives you almost the same service, although simpler and more dynamic and has a touch of web 2.0.
MyGuesstimate is a pretty simple service and yet could be a powerful tool, especially for the most pressing questions that could probably be bogging your mind. You can post even the most mundane questions that you could probably think of and have the community of MyGuesstimate try their crack at answering your question. In addition, you can try answering some of the questions posted by other community members. But you definitely can’t answer your own question.
You can also embed photos, videos, links and comments as a supporting materials for your answers to questions. This some sort of give credibility to your answers. Additionally, you can set a time limit for the question you posted to remain open for answering by the community.
For the social networking part, MyGuesstimate lets you follow other members which you find cool and interesting. Once you follow a members, any questions they posted appears on your MyGuesstimate profile page. Likewise, members who become your followers will also get updates on their profiles once you posted questions at the site.
Due to its simplicity and yet sublime importance, MyGuesstimate has the making of hitting it big. It doesn’t have VC funding yet, and are still being run privately by individuals. Yet, it’s a pretty impressive site already.

August 25th, 2008 at 1:36 amThanks Arnold for the review of our site. We plan on adding additional features to the site as we grow our online community. We are a Chi Town based start up and plan on having meetups throughout Chicago sometime in September. If you happen to be in the area, you should definetly attend.
