FriendFeed Preps a New Design
Finally, FriendFeed is getting a much needed redesign. It’s ages since FriendFeed has been launched and we’re glad it has been making waves and is now becoming everybody’s favorite lifestreaming/aggregator service. And with its new design, we expect more users to come into the FriendFeed fold. And it might also serve as a warning to the Big “T”.
Anyway, the new FriendFeed design is currently in beta mode, and you can check it out by following this link. It simulates the “live” FriendFeed site so you may need to login to your account to get the best out of the new FriendFeed in beta mode.
Here are the new features of FriendFeed for all of you folks who have been clamoring for it:
Friend lists lets you organize your friends into groups so that you can easily scan through the updates of individual members of each group. You can also remove a friend from your home feed but still get updates from that person using your friend list. In addition, you can also opt to get only the daily or weekly best summaries for every friend list.- FriendFeed’s share box now enables you to upload photos together with your posts.
- FriendFeed now has a sidebar located on the right hand side of the page. The sidebar gives you one-click access to the feeds on FriendFeed you care about most
- FriendFeed will now allow you to see a person’s feed as well as all of his/her subscriptions
The best thing about the redesigned FriendFeed is the fact that it still retains the same clean look despite the new features. Ok FriendFeed, roll out the new design now please.
