tipsbaseWe all agree that social networking wouldn’t be as big as it is right now if not for the people, us who partake of what these social networking sites has to offer. And through our participation on various social networking activities, we partake in the creation of knowledge. But unfortunately those social networking sites do not cull knowledge form through social networking and so those knowledge are forever lost in the vast space that we call the Web. Fortunately, a new social site comes along calling itself the TipsBase.TipsBase is an online community where you can find a treasure trove of tips, tricks and advice on almost any topic that you can possibly think of. And where do these topics come from? Of course from a community of well-rounded members who willingly contribute and share their knowledge to the TipsBase community.

tipsbase_screenshotYou may consider TipsBase as Yahoo! Answers with a dash of social networking. Because not only can you find knowledge and information at TipsBase but you can also comment on a particular tip, share it through social media tools, and rate the tips/tricks as well. Something like Digg’s rating system.

Anybody can share a tip or two on any subject that they are knowledgeable of. Although it may seem prone to hacking and malicious attacks, hopefully with the good purpose of TipsBase, that is building a social networ of Tips, Tricks and practical advice, nobody would dare to game the site.

TipsBase is a fairly young startup, so there are certainly so much room for improvement. But as it is, the site is well worth a visit and even first a sign-up.
