SlideShare Becomes Even More Useful with YouTube Video
Advertisment
For those who upload their Powerpoint (or Keynote) presentation online, chances are your using either SlideShare or Google Docs Presentation. SlideShare has been around in this web 2.0 niche for quite some time now and has made great strides in making their service as useful and as functional as possible. And the latest feature that they’ve introduce is what everybody has been wishing to have – embedding YouTube video on their SlideShare presentation. The new feature allows you to insert multiple videos, with a current limit of 5 videos at a time, from YouTube which will appear as separate slides. This new feature follows after SlideShare has enabled users to include audio background to SlideShare presentations.
SlideShare is using YouTube APIs so expect to get some latency especially if you have inserted five videos onto your SlideShare presentation. Ideally, one to two videos will work flawlessly with your SlideShare presentation.
The embedding feature works similarly with the way you insert videos on your blogspot hosted blogs. Meaning, you just need to enter the URL of the video when you are creating a post. Then once you’ve published your post, the SlideShare presentation with inserted video will seamlessly stream.
The good thing about this new feature is the fact that when you embed your presentation on your blog, the YouTube video you’ve inserted will play smoothly as well. Once embedded on your presentation, you can use the SlideShare controls to advance the slides. And you can also use the full-screen view of Slideshare to view your videos inside your presentation in full-screen view as well.
If you’re interested to try out this new SlideShare feature, simply upload a presentation to slideshare >> Edit Slideshow >> Insert your YouTube videos>> Select where you want to place the video>> then Insert and Publish
