knewitThis website attempts to replace the paper copy hand-me-downs from student to student by encouraging students to upload class notes onto Knetwit.com.  What is the benefit?Well, if you upload old class notes, each time your page is viewed you earn money. Further, the website allows you to search for any topic (class notes, outlines, etc.) all for free.  Another function of the site is the ability to create study groups, either private or public online study group.

To upload notes, you must first create a profile and join a school group. For example, if you want to provide notes for Chemistry 101 at The Ohio State University, you must join the OSU network on knetwit.com. This is obviously to keep the site as organized as possible for those that are searching for specific class notes.

Hmm…sounds like some universities could get angry over this. However, Knetwit.com has placed a disclaimer that states they do not condone plagiarism of any kind, and that these notes are only as an aid to future students but not to replace the necessary work for each class. Overall, this site has a unique idea- and face it- this has been going on for years. It’s just gone virtual.
