I don't know Arnold... I have to disagree on that one. Facebook does provide updates and limited space to write stuff. But it is all about the intention. If a reader wants to dedicate his 5 or 10 minutes to read about your life, maybe he or she would be more interested (and less distracted) to see what your thoughts are on different issues on a more 'diary' format... Also, I think that blogs provide you with that private and personal space that facebook lacks (even in your own profile)...
Thoughts?

Facebook is a great way to socially network. However, I have found a great cite where you can not only network with facebook, but also a variety of other ways within the cite. thebizsociety.com has a great socialy network platform and is ahead of the game compared to other cites I have been on.

Totally see what you are talking about but then again the personal nature of a facebook page makes it limited in nature ... hell what are mommy blogs if not the most personal of blogs, how many do u think you would find on FB.
Contrast that with the ease of use, and you would definitely get a lot more people blogging :)
didn't Myspace have some moods or something akin to categories ? maybe facebook should have the status update at the time of publishing attached to the post, like a time capsule of sorts !

I don't know...some people said this about MySpace and that didn't happen. I think nothing really replaces an actual blog for being a blog.

Great Post. If you are looking for a restricted readability, Facebook is a good choice. But still I have not experimented it as a blogging platform
