As I am Flash developer-designer I pay attention on different flash projects, which is based, or use flash. One of greatest projects today is Goowy. Yesterday I was testing and looking on Goowy features and possibilities what Goowy offers – it is really amazing! First impression – it visually is like MacOS with the bar of icons below and these icons is animated similarly. And all solution of design is like operating system of computer where you launch different applications.
This post is about design and basic functions of Netvibes and Pageflakes.
I started this category “Netvibes vs. Pageflakes” because these projects are very similar from the angle of functionality and design of Netvibes and Pageflakes is very close too. There are two groups of functions – RSS feed reader and different modules that give wide range of functions that people can use and receive different kind of information and other services.
I will start to comment these projects with the top part of Pageflakes and Netvibes.

Today I will start a new chapter on my blog – Netvibes vs. Pageflakes. I will try to write about these two online RSS readers which I think is very similar to each other but I want to decide which one is better. Every post will be about some features who are in both startpages to be able to compare them.
My first post will be about popularity of these two RSS aggregators. I will use Alexa traffic rankings to show the stats of Netvibes and Pageflakes.
Surfing the web I found this link http://www.rssmix.com/. Using RSSmix you can merge any number of RSS feeds in one.
I think it is very useful thing because you can mix different resources in one feed to read them together. All you need to do is simply copy and paste feed links and then you get mixed one. I think it’s great and deffinatley worth to check out!
Working earlier on some web projects one of biggest problems was to create icons and buttons. Recently I found several web sites who offers free icon sets with includes large number and very useful icons that can be used absolutely free:
