From AOL’s MediaGlow comes a new magazine-style political site called Politics Daily. Previously a part of AOL News Network, Politics Daily is now being launched as a separate site featuring top-tier political writers with their in-depth and informed reporting, analysis and opinion of, well what else but U.S. Politics.   Politics Daily aims to become a different political sites by offering original news reports, regular fact checking stories and long-lead reporting and writing. Results of  Facebook site governance voting has concluded. And majority of those who responded to Facebook call for votation wanted to be governed by the proposed Governance documents made publicly available by Facebook.   Pending audit by an external auditor, the new Facebook Principles and Statement of Rights and Responsibilities will soon replace the exisiting Facebook  TOS. Before I proceed with this write-up I’m forced to ask Microsoft this question – “Why only now?”  So ok, LiveSide.net is reporting that Windows Live Hotmail is gradually integrating the web version of its Windows Live Messenger.  As soon as this feature gets activated in your Hotmail account, you can now start IM sessions with your Windows Live Messenger contacts even if you don’t login to Windows Live Messenger. Although status updates through SMS has already been active for personal profiles in Facebook, it is only now that Facebook is activating this feature for public pages – such businesses, brands and celebrity Facebook profiles.  Unfortunately, SMS update works only for selected mobile carriers in Canada and the U.S., so for people like us in the Asian region, updating of our Facebook status via our mobile phones can either be done through the Facebook mobile phone interface.
